Café Mam’s coffee is grown by fair trade cooperatives of native Mayan farmers living in the highlands of Chiapas, Mexico and Guatemala. Café Mam believes in “honoring and healing the earth, self-sufficiency and political independence, sustainable development of rural communities, child welfare, including education & nutrition, defense of indigenous cultural identity, education in organic agriculture, and promotion of progressive groups.” Fully committed to being sustainable they run their delivery truck off of bio-diesel, their packaging plastic is recyclable and compostable and they believe that “love is the secret ingredient that makes Café Mam taste better than anything else”. Common Vision gives big thanks for the 20lbs of delicious coffee they have donated to the 2009 Fruit Tree Tour.
